Job Description

The GM – BD (Diagnostic) shall provide leadership to diagnostics services in technical, scientific and regulatory areas.

Basic Job Responsibilities/Authorities

  • Marketing services in coordination with relevant department, Creating and analyzing the new market opportunities.
  • Responsible for end to end marketing campaigns in consultation with Director Diagnostics for all diagnostics services including analyzing the markets and competitors.
  • Preparation of annual Goals
  • Monitor, review and forward activity reports reflecting volume of work, procedures utilized and analyses setting forth progress, trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions to senior management.
  • Participates in top management meetings to give inputs regarding future planning and improvements in the current operating systems of the department.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for Diagnostic services
  • Analysis of management information reports and taking decisions and guiding for future planning
  • Ensures smooth operations of Diagnostic Services.
  • Assistance to HR Department recruitment and termination of non-faculty.

Technical / Special Job Responsibilities

  • Approval of finance related matters of consumables, kits and Instruments for COCO (Company Owned & Company Operated) Labs, & collection centers in consultation with Director Diagnostics.
  • In consultation with Director Diagnostic, Plans and prepares proposals for the Diagnostic equipment’s purchase/placements in COCO labs.
  • Ensures smooth running of COCO lab and collection centers by providing necessary support to the consultants and handles day to day routine matters of the Labs.
  • In consultation with Director Diagnostics manage the operational policies and procedures of diagnostic services, coordinate with medical staff on issues, which impact diagnostic services. 
  • In consultation with Director Diagnostics determine fiscal requirements and prepare an annual budget for the diagnostic services; monitor, verify, reconcile expenditure of budget funds on a periodic basis. Prepare capital budget requirement as needed.

  • Plan and conduct meetings with other staff to ensure compliance with established practice, to implement new policies.
  • Responsible for recommending various personnel actions including hiring, performance appraisal, promotions and disciplinary actions to HR Department. 
  • Monitor Inventory control, minimizing leakage/pilferage and wastage of resources.
  • Maintains cost effectiveness of all diagnostic procedures and controls pilferage / waste of chemical/ kits/supplies.
  • Any other duty /responsibility as and when assigned by the senior management
